    • After-school Activities

    We are pleased to inform you that our school offers the following after-school activities this academic year: Mini Basketball, Volleyball and Modern Dance. All activities will take place in the gym. Then, we offer Music lessons. Details for each are provided below.

    MINI BASKETBALL

    In partnership with Azzurra Team Trieste, one of the leading basketball associations in Trieste. It operates three mini basketball centers (ASD CMB Arcobaleno, Azzurra RdR and Tigrotti) serving over 350 children from 4 to 11 years old and a dedicated youth sector for another 250 players aged 12 to 19.

    • Classes: open to children from K5 to Grade 5;

    • Days/Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00pm to 5:00pm. For older students, the class can be extended to 5:30pm;

    • Duration: from Tuesday, September 17 2024 to Thursday, May 29 2025;

    • Cost: the price, exclusive to IST students, is €290.00 for the entire course, including enrollment fee, insurance, and a “Training Kit” with a t-shirt, shorts and a backpack;

    • Free Trial: two weeks offered;

    • Objective: develop basketball skills and a love for the game;

    • Instructors: the course will be coordinated by Coach Mauro Messini, and assisted by Azzurra Team Trieste staff;

    VOLLEYBALL

    In collaboration with Asd Eurovolley School, a sports organization that develops and refines training systems, led by qualified coaches, based on motor literacy and the learning of volleyball movements.

    • Classes: open to students from Grade 3 to Grade 9;

    • Days/Times: Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.;

    • Duration: from Monday, September 16 2024 to Wednesday, May 28 2025;

    • Cost: the price, exclusive to IST students, is €300.00;

    • Free Trial: two weeks offered;

    • Objective: develop volleyball skills, motor skills, and teamwork through play and competition as our students will also be able to take part in tournaments and other sporting events.

    • Instructors: the course will be coordinated by Coach Lorenzo Sparello, assisted by Eurovolley staff;

    MODERN DANCE

    In collaboration with EleDance by Eleonora Violin, a dance professional with over 20 years experience in the sector.

    • Classes: open to students from Grade 1 to Grade 8;

    • Days/Times: Fridays after school until 5:15pm;

    • Duration: from Friday, October 4 2024 to Friday, May 30 2025;

    • Cost: the price, exclusive to IST students, is €300.00 for the entire course, including enrollment fee and insurance.

    • Features and objectives: no prior experience or prerequisites are required to attend this course. The aim is to teach dance through physical movement, with technical and educational elements tailored to the age groups of the participants. The course aims to foster children’s physical and mental development through activities that enhance motor coordination, flexibility, elasticity, and creativity. It combines choreographic, musical, and creative elements to nurture cognitive and artistic skills while emphasizing the fun and enjoyment of dance. The course will end with an open house class and the possibility to take part in EleDance’s performance at the theater.

    PLEASE NOTE

    All participants must provide a medical certificate of good health.
    All the above-mentioned courses will only be activated with a minimum of 10 enrolled participants. Children not attending IST are also welcome to join in order to reach an adequate number of participants. Should you have friends interested in attending any of the courses, feel free to invite them during the free trial period.

    MUSIC

    In partnership with music teacher Antonella Costantini, IST will once again organize a variety of music courses and workshops for our students this year.

    Our aim is to foster a culture of music at our school through preparatory courses and group lessons offering musical education that cater to a broad range of ages, including Early Childhood students.

    Once again this year, the educational offerings in collaboration with OperUs SRLS, will devote an exclusive package for IST students, who will, however, also have access to the other options offered depending on the needs and goals of the individual student.

    We invite you to join us for an online meeting, through ZOOM, on Friday, September 13 at 6:00pm. All music teachers will attend the meeting to present their curricula and address any questions you may have. You can access the online presentation through zoom.

    – Preparatory course 2*

    Students: from Kinder 4 to Kinder 5;

    Number of lessons planned: 27;

    Teacher: Antonella Costantini, Iris Hyemin Kwon

    Day and duration: every Wednesday at 3pm, 27 lesson of 40 minutes each (including reception from classes and delivery to parents/bus);

    Place: INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF TRIESTE.

    Cost of the entire course: €475.00

    Minimum number of students per group: 7, if the minimum number is not reached in one of the two scheduled classes the two courses will be combined into one group and day.

    – Individual PIANO lessons

    Students: from Kinder 3;

    Prices of all individual courses for IST students ONLY: 27 lessons of 30 minutes each: €570.00 (IVA included);

    The annual registration fee of €50.00 (VAT included) applies to the dedicated IST package (free program). This fee is due in full at the time of registration. IST alumni (only) who prefer to opt for  either the OperUs Membership package or the OperUs 30-lesson package (with Conservatory address) are exempt from this registration fee and will only be responsible for the course fee itself (no annual fee).
