The Middle School runs from Grade 6 through Grade 8.
The core subjects are English Language and Literature, Italian Language and Literature, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies.
As additional core subjects there are World Languages. Students elect to study one of three modern foreign languages: French, German or Spanish. In Grade 8 students may take the A2 CEFR level external examination in French (DELF), Spanish (DELE) and German (ÖSD).
As non-core subjects, Art and Physical Education continue as compulsory.
As electives, a dual-track elective choice is introduced. Students may opt to follow either a classical study path by taking up Latin; or further their development of English as a practical tool by selecting Communications. (It should be noted that Latin is introduced in Grade 7).
