How long did you attend IST?
I was at IST for 15 years, from Nursery 3 to Grade 13, except for one year where I attended Liceo Petrarca.

What was your thesis title?
“Terror at Sea: the Rise of a New Alliance between African Pirates and Terrorist Cells.” The aim of the thesis was to identify one of the funding methods of terrorism and to understand the role that piracy has in terrorist cells.

What was your IST House?
The one and only Kleos: so many fond memories of the House with the best spirit and athletes.

In what ways were you prepared for your future studies?
IST prepared me in so many ways before heading to university. I think the greatest asset of the school is giving students the opportunities to work on their writing through essays, the final thesis and oral presentations. I have noticed that having acquired these skills prior to university made me more confident and more prepared to undertake the different assignments.

In Grade 5, you planned on being…?
As cliché and as many of the other past alumni have said, I wanted to be an actress. I think being part of the Drama Club during Elementary School pushed me towards that direction.

What is your favorite memory from your years at IST?
There are so many great memories from my time at school. IST really felt like a home where I made friends for life and where teachers were your supporters. The school trips were definitely a highlight, particularly the time when we went to Kolkata, India. That trip not only strengthened the bond with some of my classmates but it pushed me to undertake a specific study path.
